New features released for Binokula (November 2023)

The team has three new features NOW LIVE for both our standard Enterprise plan and our Instant offer available directly via subscription from the Microsoft Marketplace.

Custom Email Invitations

Showcase your brand even more

Earlier this year we upgraded the Portal Branding options in the Admin menu to further showcase your company branding to report audiences; what they see when they are in your specific tenant using the Binokula portal.

Now we’ve extended this to include customising the email invites that get sent to newly invited users…

Binokula Admin steps to update

Accessible in the Administration menu under Portal Settings
Tick Enable Custom Email
Upload required logo
Update email colour
Enter text for email subject line, header and body
Click SAVE button

A preview of your changes as you make them will be shown in a preview on the screen below.

Login Screen Message

Communicate what is important

Share key messages with your audience when they arrive at your tenant’s home login page, for example:

Describe this as being your key portal for viewing Power BI sales and stock reports
Talk about who has access to this application when part of a large organisation and/or stakeholder group
Highlight how to request access
Indicate key updates in the portal: “a new KPI dashboard for seasonal output has been loaded from January for all managers”.

How to update your message

Accessible in the Administration menu under Portal Branding
Enter text in the Login Message box beneath the Update Your Logo section
Click SAVE button

Last visit

Helping manage your user group

Last login date for when a specific user last accesses the portal is shown directly in the User Management menu.

Benefits for Administrators

Identify individual users with high or low frequency of accessing the portal for report viewing
Insight for managing user expectations and available total user seats
